BECOMING AN OFFICIAL

Want to get started as an official and help USA Swimming run consistent, high-quality, and technically correct competitions? 

View the resources/ links below to get started!

1. Follow Basic Steps HERE on USA Swimming website. This Indiana Swimming document is another resource.

2. Register with USA Swimming as an Official. Please email [email protected] to request PCA's link to register.

3. Once above is complete, your USA Swimming Membership card will be updated to indicate you are an Offical in Good Standing. You are now ready to complete your apprentice sessions.

4. Once apprentice sessions complete, contact the Area 3 Offical Representative. PCA is in Area 3.

Benefits of Officiating:

• PCA pays/ reimburses ALL costs towards certification and re-certification
• Free meet admission plus great hospitality during sessions officiated.
• On deck with your swimmer
• Complementary white official’s polo shirt from PCA
• Meet entry fees waived for your swimmer(s) if working ALL sessions of PCA hosted meet
• Credit on your account each year you renew your credentials
  • $100 for Stroke/Admin
  • $150 for Referee
